"I changed over the Evo One to the Modem / Wi-Fi Router / Network Switch outlet and then plugged in the Evo Three to the system outlet. These are all on the same electrical circuit. I immediately got the more volume with less volume effect. Once you are familiar with it you know it's the sound of less noise making it through to the audio system. A blacker background that makes you want to turn up the volume because you are hearing more of the music, detail, further into the mix with better separation of instruments and voices. The soundstage grew to that holographic, halo type effect where the phase almost sounds like surround sound panned hard left or right seemingly thrown around your head. Headphones sound like euphoria. I just want to keep turning up the volume more and more. The bass is substantially improved, the top end is detailed with more resolution but less fatigue while the midrange is euphonically rich with harmonics. Warmth with punch and dynamics without sounding dull in the treble. The Evo Three addition has me wanting to re-listen to my entire music collection. It reminds me of an ultra high-end hybrid amplifier. Top quality solid state with the simplicity and magic of rare tubes. The best of both worlds. This balance in sound is very difficult to find in audio, but AM Designs gives it to you on a silver platter at a price that's unheard of in the audiophile world. The Evo One & Evo Three series filter combination on the same circuit combined with one of his Tech Grounds is the best power filtering offering available for the money period in my opinion; and I've heard many of the uber expensive "supposed" power conditioning products out there. I put it that way because I've seen first hand what goes into those products and the majority of what you're paying for is a pretty looking chassis with some lights & meters. You have to pay a minimum of $10K-$20K on traditional audiophile power products as a baseline to try and begin to get here sound wise with tons of cable changes and tuning. There's a reason multiple well known high-end cable and power conditioning companies have "borrowed" Alan's ideas over the years without giving him any credit.
